- The font
- The image (that has to be attractive and relevant to the video)
- Whether the Digipak as a whole reflects the artist, video and is suited to the target audience that we would be trying to reach
- The theme of the Digipak, that has to suit the video, song, and artist.
And on our digipak we have to include:
- Six panels
- A spine
- A barcode
- The track list
- The disc impression
We also had a few more ideas that we would also be able to include:
- Song lyrics
- Information on the artist.
- Images of the artist.
As we are planning our Digipak, and have been practising with photoshop, we have decided to start looking for and analysing fonts that we believe would be suitable to use.
Here are some images of dafont.com, a website that we will be using to find our font:
When looking through dafont.com we found that some fonts definitely were not suitable for Gabrielle Aplin, the song or the style of video and digipak that we want to create. These are fonts such as:
As this is a 'medieval' style font, it would not be suitable to use for a love themed digipak and video.
This is another font that also isn't suitable for our Digipak. Not only is the theme of the text not suitable, but it also isn't clear enough to use.
Texts that we believe would be suitable are texts such as :
These texts are 'handwritten' style texts that are girlier and softer and would look more appropriate on a love themed digipak and would suit the video more.
